The Preliminary Phase:

The Preliminary Phase is the first phase of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) development cycle, which is designed to lay the groundwork for developing the EA.

This phase is critical for understanding the goals, scope, and approach for the EA initiative.

The Preliminary phase consists of below process:

  1. Defining the Scope and Goals of the EA Initiative
  2. Establishing the EA Team and Governance Structure
  3. Developing an EA Capability Assessment
  4. Identifying Stakeholders and their Concerns
  5. Developing an EA Communication Plan
