A day in the life of Project Manager

A day in the life of Project Manager

What project managers do is the million-dollar question, as there is no definition for this.

Assuming the project is in the execution phase, we can arrive at some activities that need to be performed by the project manager on a daily basis.

"Planning the day" is an important task for a manager.

1) Ensure the project is on track based on six constraints (scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and resources).

2) Manage stakeholder expectations.

3) You need to check the email and respond to it; if required, convert it to an action item.

4) Involve in daily scrum meetings to help the team with the issues they are facing (mainly assigning and tracking tasks).

5) Reporting to higher management on status updates

6) Based on KPI's evaluation of the process followed in the project

7) Involve in practice-level activities (pre-sales, proposals, estimation, hiring, and attending meetings).

8) Monitoring metrics.
